Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to gather together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Here are some of the ways we are celebrating together this Christmas season.

Look Up: The Purpose of Christmas

December Teaching Series

Sundays at 9:15 and 11:00 am

For many people, Christmas is a time of celebration. Others endure Christmas and its associated memories, rather than enjoy it. With all of the commercialization, and the never-ending to-do lists, sometimes Christmas can seem like a lot of routine and work. But did you know there is an amazing purpose for Christmas? Christmas is the realization that God is with us. In the midst of cold, darkness, and silence, Christmas reminds us to Look Up to a beacon of light. Come participate in this series that unwraps the Purpose of Christmas.

Angel Trees Christmas

November & December

Angel Tree Christmas is a program of Prison Fellowship Canada that partners with local church communities to reach out to the children of prisoners and their families with the love of Jesus. Children of prisoners are often forgotten and silent victims of crime. Children experience feelings of abandonment, loneliness and shame from having a mom or dad in prison. Maintaining a connection between an inmate and their children is crucial in positive social and emotional development.

This Christmas, we are partnering with Angel Tree to provide Christmas gifts to 45 children on behalf of their incarcerated parent. Sign up with the bulletin insert provided to purchase a gift for a child, or join one of our Gift Wrapping or Delivery teams. Let’s show the love of Jesus to these kids this Christmas!
